Barrel Aged First Catch of the Day Imperial Stout Release

Nothing beats that calm morning water, broken only by the sudden, rippling thrash of the day's first catch!

Our 14% ABV imperial breakfast stout, First Catch of the Day, awakens from the depths of its barrel aged slumber.

For this iteration, we carefully blended three pulls of our imperial stout base from the cellar:

- 36 months in Wild Turkey Bourbon Barrels
- 18 months in Four Roses Bourbon Barrels
- 15 months in 1792 Bourbon Barrels

This already pitch black, incredibly rich stout was then conditioned with Coffee from Manbot Coffee Roasters, Maple Syrup, and Vanilla.

To celebrate, grab a 15oz First Catch coffee mug, the perfect ceramic vessel to totally not ever drink beer from, available for purchase at the bar or online at noon Friday as well.

Draft and bottle sales begin at noon on Friday, October 4, with a small allocation going online for preorder as well. Preorders must be picked up with 10 days.

Come by after work and pair one with the deliciousness of the Curious Crow food truck at 5pm.

No bottle limit. Distro will be limited, if any, and is TBD after the weekend.

Marché des Fermiers Barrel Aged Saison Release

What's this? A barrel aged release that's not an imperial stout? YES.

Pushing the boundaries of our BA program further than ever, we're pleased to announce the release of Marché des Fermiers, a peach saison aged 15 months in hand-selected bourbon barrels.

A (long) while back, we partnered with William Becker (aka: Bionic Bill) to bring his super saison recipe to life on a commercial scale. We tucked a few barrels away and the even longer wait began.

Now, on Friday, August 30, it's finally time to release. Limited bottles will go on sale at noon, both in-person and with a small online allocation as well.

Stop by at noon to try it on tap and take bottles home, or later in the day to enjoy food by Fernando's Street Kitchen starting at 5pm and music by Cheryl Rodey at 6pm.

A perfect way to wrap up the summer and launch into Labor Day Weekend. We hope to see you then.

Bottle Release - Beyond the Summer Barrel Aged Stout

"𝙊𝙣𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙢, 𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙢𝙚."

Join us this Friday, May 24, as we release our biggest barrel aged stout to-date, 𝗕𝗲𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁, a collaboration with one of our favorite breweries in the area, Foreign Exchange Brewing Company.

𝗕𝗲𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁 is big-bodied, free of adjuncts, and dripping with notes of rich chocolate fudge, subtle dark fruit, wood-derived coconut & vanilla, and sweet bourbon-soaked American oak.

Complex in flavor, it clocks in at a deceivingly-smooth 17% ABV, and is a harmonious love letter to the barrel-aged imperial stouts that motivated both of our breweries to create dark beers in the first place.

Brewed and aged here at our St. Charles brewery, this beer broke the previously held gravity record for our system...a feat that will be very apparent when you taste the final product.

We hope this is a beer you treasure as much as we do. Pick it up exclusively on tap and in bottles at Riverlands this Friday, May 24th at noon in-person. There will be an allotment of bottles available for online purchase and pick-up as well on our online shop.

This weekend, barleywine comes home for the holidays.

Introducing: J.A.M. Barrel Aged Barleywine. Dropping this Friday at our St. Charles brewery when the doors open at noon, J.A.M. arrives just in time for you to stuff stockings, crack bottles open at parties, or settle in by the fire after the holiday chaos.

Named for John Andrew (Andy) Marck, our founder and the man that's made our brewery possible since Day Zero, J.A.M. aged for 24 months in Four Roses bourbon barrels, soaking up all of the oak and sweet boozy bourbon notes it could handle. No adjuncts needed.

We crafted the base beer from scratch, a brand new barleywine recipe aimed to maximize each barrel's full potential. At 14.5% ABV, it's a sneaky sipper, for sure.

Bottles and pours available when we open at noon. No limit. $25/bottle. Distro TBD.

Come by later at 5pm and enjoy a pour paired with the absolutely MIND BLOWING food by The Curious Crow food truck.

It may be winter soon, but we have warmer climates and tasty tiki drinks on our mind. So, we're launching our new sour series, Cocktail Hour, on Friday, December 8.

Join us for a tiki-inspired party as we dive into our new series by tapping three tiki sour variants and releasing one in cans to-go!

Cocktail Hour: Painkiller is our first canned release of the series, featuring our new sour base with pineapple, orange, and cream of coconut added (NO LACTOSE), served in our new specialty Cocktail Hour glassware with a cocktail umbrella and nutmeg garnish!

In addition to Painkiller, we'll have two variants on tap only:

Series Launch: Terpyslurpy Blackberry Kush Fruited Sour

A new sour series is about to launch and we HIGHLY recommend giving it a try on Thursday, July 13 when our St. Charles brewery opens at noon.

Terpyslurpy Blackberry Kush is a fruited sour ale with blackberry, strawberry, and blueberry puree made with cannabis terpenes for added aroma and flavor. 6% ABV.

For the uninitiated, terpenes are chemical compounds naturally found in various plants that are responsible for flavor, aroma, and sometimes even color in vegetation.

In this case, we used concentrated terpenes from Blackberry Kush cannabis to add a powerful punch of dank, fruity aroma and flavor to our sour ale base.

This beer does NOT contain THC or CBD. It will not get you high. But it will heighten your senses when you dive into your first sip!

Available on tap and in 4-packs to-go on 7/13. Contains fresh fruit and potentially live yeast, so keep cold and drink fresh.

Barrel Aged Kamoho, our highest rated and fastest selling beer of all time, returns on Friday, June 23rd, at 5pm.

THE BEER:

We lovingly aged our imperial stout base for 14-19 months in a blend of Old Elk, Heaven Hill, and Buffalo Trace bourbon barrels. Once we pulled it from these magnificent vessels, we conditioned it on loads of real coconut, cinnamon, cacao nibs, and vanilla.

The result is a 14% ABV, thick, rich, melted candy bar of a beer.

THE RELEASE:

BA Kamoho will be tapped and bottles put on sale at 5pm on Friday, June 23. Our buds at the Stix & Noodles Filipino food truck will be here to help us celebrate.

Bottle sales will be IN-PERSON ONLY at our St. Charles brewery that weekend while bottles last.

Barrel Aged Fisherman's Breakfast is an imperial stout with coffee, maple, coconut, cacao nibs, and vanilla. Those who remember the non-barrel aged version won't want to miss this release.

Black Friday: Tranquil & Grimoire Bottle Release

Hot off the heals of their FOBAB premiere, our two Black Friday bottle releases are ready to go home with you for the holidays.

𝑻𝑹𝑨𝑵𝑸𝑼𝑰𝑳:
Our annual non-adjunct imperial stout brewed specifically with barrel aging in mind, aged for 18 months in Buffalo Trace Rye Whiskey barrels.

𝑮𝑹𝑰𝑴𝑶𝑰𝑹𝑬:
Imperial stout brewed with three types of real vanilla beans (Madagascar, Tahitian, and Mexican) and aged in Buffalo Trace and Whiskey Acres Rye barrels.

Both beers will be available for pre-order online beginning Monday, November 21, around 12pm with pick-ups starting on Black Friday. Preorders have until Sunday, Dec 4th to pick up their bottles.

This Saturday, we’re marking the grand finale of your #BarrelAgedSummer with a Barrel Aged BASH.

All four of our barrel aged releases from the past few months will be available on draft right at noon, including:

PLUS, the final release of the summer:

- BA Bean Man Coffee Stout

ABOUT THE BEER:

Bean Man is an imperial stout brewed with Soul Loco Coffee Roasters, and aged in hand-picked Wild Turkey bourbon and Buffalo Trace Rye barrels. It’s also a collaboration with the good folks over at The Midwest Brew Review.

This stout is a tribute to friend, and part-time Midwest Brew Review contributor, Mike Kubes. Mike, who was present on the brew day for the base of this coffee-forward brew, was always keen for a Cup o’ Joe. That, along with having roots in Boston, made him a true Bean Man.

Doors open at noon Saturday with draft and bottles available to-go while they last. This is an in-person release. If any remain by Wednesday, 8/31, we’ll make them available online then as well.

Barrel Aged Alpine Ridge Release

Your Barrel Aged Summer continues with round three: BA Alpine Ridge Imperial Stout, our collab with Foreign Exchange Brewing Co.

THE RELEASE:
We're switching things up this time around and releasing both draft and bottles at 5pm on Friday, July 15. You'll be able to grab bottles (limit TBD), a pour, some tasty empanadas by Savory Crust, plus live tunes by Grant Milliren at 6pm. Special appearance by Ricky Cervantes for a limited time!

Bottle sales will happen in the taproom. Details TBA.

THE BEER:
A deep, rich imperial stout base aged in a combination of Buffalo Trace Thomas H. Handy Sazerac Rye and Weller Special Reserve Wheated Bourbon barrels for 18 months, then conditioned on toasted coconut, hazelnut, and Soul Loco coffee. The result is a 14.5% ABV beer inspired by the wonder and awe of ascending to the heights of the Alps.

Available in 22oz bombers to-go, first come, first served. Any remaining bottles will go online the following Tuesday, July at noon.

Dual Can Release: Lazy Fox & Mantel Duck

Two beers return to our brewery in St. Charles this week that we are PUMPED to bring back.

Lazy Fox Session Hazy IPA may be the closest we've ever come to putting summer in a can! Motueka and Citra hops create a super citrus-y punch while the low 4.8% ABV keeps this beer in a very crushable state of mind.

Mantel Duck DDH Hazy Double IPA flies back into the taproom with its wings just saturated in Citra, Motueka, and Ekuanot hops. We've tweaked this beer a bit since its original release to make it even more palatable and we're LOVING the result. 8% ABV.

Stop by the taproom to pick up a four pack and try each beer on draft (once it's kegged) when we open at noon on Thursday.

Barrel Aged Summer Release Two: BA Corner of Dean & Borden Street

Your Barrel Aged Summer continues on Saturday, June 18, with the release of our next barrel aged beer: Barrel Aged The Corner of Dean & Borden Street.

THE BEER:
Originally brewed as a collab with our friends at Huntley's Sew Hop'd Brewery, Dean & Borden was an imperial stout released last year with vanilla, cacao nibs, honey, and a hint of rye.

We then aged some in hand selected bourbon barrels for about a year. The result is a boozy but sip-able 14.5% ABV crossroads between our two facilities.

THE RELEASE DATE:
Join us at our brewery in St. Charles on Saturday, June 18, at noon for the in-person release of this beer in both bottles out the back door and on tap in the taproom. Any limits will be determined the day of the release.

Any unsold bottles will go online (bit.ly/riverlands) on Tuesday, June 21 at noon. Proxies will be allowed for online sales.

OTHER DEETS:
Parking in our commercial area is all communal, but please do NOT park in any grass, driveways, loading docks, or other unmarked areas. All seating and tables are first come, first served.

STC Six Release Party!

A few weeks back, all six breweries in the St. Charles area gather at Riverlands to brew a collaboration beer that brings us all together. On Wednesday, June 15, we open the flood gates with its release!

All six breweries (93 Octane, Broken Brix, Alter, Pollyanna, D and G, and Riverlands) will be tapping the beer when each location opens that day, culminating in a giant release party here at Riverlands from 6pm to close!

Come by, try the beer, take crowlers home, mingle with brewery folk, and generally have a fun time. Heck, we might even crack some special things open just for fun!

Show up hungry because our local taco heroes Taco Madre will be serving up excellent Mexican cuisine from 5pm to 8pm.

Support your city, local food, and all six breweries at the same time. We'll see you then!

Bottle Release: Kamoho Imperial Coconut Stout

Kamoho, one of our OG imperial stouts, returns on draft and in 22oz bombers to-go on Saturday, May 14th, just in time for our Illinois Craft Beer Week Patio Party.

Kamoho is a deep, rich, 12% ABV imperial stout with REAL coconut, cinnamon, cacao nibs, and vanilla. NO LACTOSE.

Bottles will be $15 all taxes included and available only at the taproom while they last. No online orders, in person only. No limit. Distro TBD, but unlikely.

Doors open at noon with tons of other fun things planned for the patio party, including a puppy rescue event at 3pm, Biker Dude smashburgers at 4pm, and live music by Pete Jive at 6pm. Swing by, hang out, have fun.

Join us in celebrating three years of brewing St. Charles' hometown beers during one of our three ticketed sessions!

HERE'S HOW IT WORKS:

- Tickets are sold BY THE TABLE at $40 per person. This will allow us to maximize our space with fewer vacant seats.

- Each party attendee receives:
* entrance to their two-hour anniversary session
* three beer tickets good for any draft on the tap list, PLUS one 5oz pour of Riverlands III Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout,
* a 24k gold-rimmed 11.5oz commemorative Riverlands snifter

Tickets will be available as single seats (bar seating), and two-, four-, and six-person tables. You MUST purchase tickets for a table together and there will be NO REFUNDS if your table isn't full at the event.

Each ticket holder has an option of buying up to TWO BOTTLES of Riverlands III Imperial Stout on the day of the event at $25 per bottle, NOT INCLUDED IN THE TICKET PRICE. No need to worry about our online bottle sale!

Grab some of Chicago's Best BBQ from Fire & Smoke BBQ while you're here! We suggest ordering food early into your session so you have plenty of time to eat. Food not included in ticket price.

About 20 minutes before your session ends, you'll receive last call to purchase any additional beer to-go and get closed out. At the end of your session, please leave promptly so we can reset for the next round.

EVENT RULES:

- This event is strictly 21-and-over. Get a sitter and enjoy!
- Sadly, no pups will be permitted at this event.
- If the weather is nice, TICKET HOLDERS will be welcome to use the patio.
