Just a Little Update...

We're very excited to be working with Serena Sturm Architects, specifically Marty and Aaron Serena. Today, we're meeting at the new place to see some exciting floor plans they've put together for our brewery and taproom.

Riverlands will have an awesome taproom for you guys to relax and enjoy a few beers in. We're planning for a good amount of tables and bar seating, so finding an open spot to savor your suds in shouldn't be too tough. The feel will be comfortable and relaxing, but we'll have some games to keep you guys busy too. For those of you looking to see where the magic happens, there will of course be a view into the brewery area where you're likely to see me, our brewer Eric, scurrying around and making the fresh beer you'll have in your hands.

On the brewery operations side of things, Quality Tank Solutions is providing us with an All American Made 10 Barrel Brewhouse. The brewhouse is the heart of any brewery because its where the beer is actually made before it goes into the tanks. Being able to put out 10 barrels at a time means we'll have a good amount of beer for you guys when we open, and we'll have a variety of styles.

We're still gunning on a fall opening of this year, but building a taproom, getting our equipment, and getting all our permits and licenses together will take time. That means a winter open isn't out of the question, but lets think optimistically!

In the meantime, please come check us out at the homebrew tent at the Tri-City Craft Brew Festival on June 9th so you can see what we're all about!

Cheers everyone, and thanks for following along so far!

We Have a Location!!!!!

We are very pleased to announce that after a solid year of searching, Riverlands finally has a location!  We will be located at 1860 Dean St Unit A in St Charles, IL.  Its a 4,800 square foot building, so it'll be a great spot that will allow us to have a pretty good sized taproom as well as adequate room to expand our brewery operation.

It'll be a while before we're up and running, but this first major obstacle has finally be cleared!  We'll be sure to keep everyone updated as the build out of the site progresses.  Cheers!

Happy New Year!

Finding a spot has been, and continues to be, a loooooooooong process. We have a place we're interested in, and are trying to work something out. 2017 has seen a lot of progress for us. We've come a long way towards making this thing a reality.

Still, I'm glad 2017 is done. We always knew 2018 is when the magic would happen. There's a chance it may take until 2019 until we pour the first beer in our taproom (God, I hope not) but this next year will see us get all the pieces in place and hopefully get this show on the road.

Thanks everyone for following along with our progress, and Happy New Year!

Cheers,
Eric

Location, Location, Location...

Hey guys, Eric here. I absolutely can not wait to start getting beer out there to you guys. In order to do that, we need to find the right location for our business. We have a couple places we are targeting, but this process has been a long one, certainly longer than we'd hoped. We'll get there, so bear with us while we find the perfect spot to not only make our beer, but have a comfortable and good size taproom for you all to enjoy it in.

During this downtime, I've been spending some time shadowing some brewers to gather ideas for our setup, and I've been test batching our recipes. We'll have a good long list of beers to brew for you when we're up and running! Our New England IPAs are where I want them, we've got some great stouts, some fun sours, and a assortment of other ales to keep a nice amount of variety.

This part is the calm before the storm. While I can't wait to really get this thing moving, I know it'll be a whirlwind when it does, and it'll be so very exciting. Cheers everyone, and stay tuned...

Things Are Coming Along!

Hey guys, here's what's going on with us currently. We are in negotiations for a location in St Charles. We really like it and there are a lot of cool things we can do with it. Like many new breweries today, it's in an industrial park. It's a big space, and it'll give us a ton of flexibility.

We have a graphic designer doing some work on our logo, so the rough one seen above is temporary.

We are targeting a spring 2018 open. I'll be thrilled if we get there earlier, but we're trying to be realistic. In the meantime I'll be dialing in our recipes so we'll have some awesome beer for you when we get there. The next half a year is going to get really exciting!

Cheers,
Eric Bramwell - Head Brewer/Co-Owner
